Talking about unique features, this phone has thin 16nm (that is nanometer) Kirin 650 chipset which gives you 100% increased GPU performance than current phones. With such boasting Graphic Processing Unit, there can’t be any more lags in gaming or videos. The overall performance is at increase of 65%.
Fingerprint sensors and identification modules, is a new black. These got up in the trends after companies like Apple, CoolPad, OnePlus, Samsung and now Motorola (in Moto G) started integrating such features. So, here it is nowhere a shock. Honor 5C features, Finger Identification 2.0 with a well placed sensor at back and giving you ability to unlock the phone in just 0.5 seconds. Wait! What? That is even faster than normal swipe unlock. How, it compares to Fingerprint unlock of Apple 6 and above is still in questions.
Comparing to Honor 3C and 4C, the camera doesn’t seem to be much upgraded in pixel department. However, the sensor quality is definitely upgraded. With 13 MP main (rear) Camera with BSI sensor, Prime ISP, unique Flash capable HDR mode (yes, Flash with HDR) and proprietary software SmartImage this will bring joy to photo maniacs. I really loved my Honor 3C HDR mode and beauty modes. So, if that old model was so good, I can’t wait to see the photo quality of this one. Did I tell aboout Professional Mode? There is one which provides DSLR-style Camera Settings with 10+ Different Modes and dedicated ISP gives various features like Auto-focus, face detect etc.
For Selfie addicts the phone comes with 8 MP Front selfie cam, which also has BSI sensor with wide 2.0 aperture. This is a huge plus.
If you never used EMUI then you are about to be blown away. Honor 5C runs on Android 6.0 operating system with proprietary EMUI version 4.1. EMUI and MI roms are known for their easy and eye-catching interfaces. These ROMs gives you features which are not easily accessible in Stock ROM like in Moto G.
For a mobile costing Rs. 11000, 2 GB RAM with 16 GB memory may seem a downside for many users but you also need to understand that when software and motherboard are optimized properly then it sounds good. However, we will need to wait for actual results.
In display section Honor 5C comes with 423 PPI of Full HD 1920x1080p screen with 16.7 million color panel. If you don’t know yet, why the Moto G display looks so vibrant than your costly Samsung, then you need to start focusing on PPI rather than HUGE displays.
And, yes, it has 5.2 inch of screen size. (This was for HUGE screen addicts.)
Consumers started focusing on battery size very late in evolving mobiles. Now, they want a good battery mAh with LARGE screens. Fortunately, Honor 5C has 3000 mAh battery capacity. Many people will still say that at price tag of Rs. 11K, this is less. I understand the sentiment but you need to understand the technology. If Apple still gives 1 GB RAM their phones performs better than 2GB Android. How? “Optimized Software and Hardware” -> To use less RAM. Same applies to battery here. With 16nm Kirin, Honor 5C will use nearly 40% less power so, it can easily beat a 4000 mAh phone in stamina.
The phone is built with aircraft grade aluminium-alloy which is for sure will last most of the accidents and shocks. Honor 5C is made on Ergonomics design which will be easy in grip and handling.

Honor 5C seems a great phone. A bit pricey for Indian consumers as per current other market offerings but I have used Honor series and I know that their built qualities are great. They deliver! My only concern is of Updates. Previous to Honor 4C, Huawei has been very slow and unpromising in delivering the Android updates for India; which is unfortunately another hype nowadays.
I can definitely recommend this phone. I would just want to hold it for once due to its pure mesmerizing design. But, how people of India will react to this Honor 5C flash sale? Time will tell.
